LordHayden's News

Posted by LordHayden - July 5th, 2008

Just recently, I posted The Wrath of Iron Ryan, and then came back the next day to see what it had fetched. It was quite angering. Considering that I had put two months of work into this, the return made me very angry. All the people commented about how bad the defaults were. No one commented on how nice the artwork of Werewolf Kelsi was, or on what happened to Matt and Devon.
I'll agree that talking would have made the movie much better, but I have no access to the right kind of voice actors whatsoever.
I was quite steamed up about the comments, but then I decided that I would just make changes, but not right now, as the power in our house has been disconnected due to outstanding bills.
At least one guy liked it, and I am glad.

I am not a happy guy.
I bought a GameCube. Yes, I know what you're thinking. "Your Lordship! You've just acquired a GameCube!? Wiis are the in system now!" True. But, unfortunately, my bond to the old school is stronger than most. Until now, the only system I had was a N64. Old-school, but it was what I had.
Unlike most people, I had to work for mine. I had to make many sacrifices, just so I could have it. I had to make and sell 131 embroidery cards, this I did last year, and then only until now, could I have it.
Well, there I was, in high spirits, hurrying home to play it, and then we did.
They were quite different from that of the 64. I watched a promotional video of SSBM, but seriously it didn't prepare me for the display the GameCube brought forth. MY younger brother and I hooked up Smash Bros. Melee, and I played first as Zelda, and he was Fox. It was plenty of fun. The first few games, I was trying to learn which button does what, and Paulie beat me. Then, we played Shadow the Hedgehog. MentalMyles mentioned in one of his posts on SheezyArt that it is a law that whenever you buy a Nintendo console, there must be a Mario game. Well, I have violated this law.
All well, and good, but our fun was cut short when Paul noticed that there was smoke coming from the power cable. And so I pulled it away, after only three hours of play.
Little did I know then that was only a sign of what to come.
I spent all day, thinking about what I would do, mastering the controls of SSBM, then having all-out battle with Paul, and also adding to my collection of games. But alas, that was not to be.
The next day, my cousin John Paul came over, and I was busy bragging about how I had a GameCube, and how I had all kinds of cool games. Then we hooked it up. The power light on the deck kept flickering, and would picture would flicker too.
then all of a sudden, it went out.
During our many ingenious schemes to get the thing working, I finally learned the awful truth.
The power cable was fried.
And that really angers me, because I worked for this system. I had to make and sell 131 cards, give the money to a friend so he could buy it, wait for someone to bring it over, and the thing just blows on me just like that!
So it means that it's still old school for me. All that hard work, and the !@$%$%#%# cable dies on me. So, it looks like it's still the old school. And what's really bad is that I haven't even had time to play the games I bought. I was looking forward to seeing for myself all the wonders of Twilight Princess, Shadow the Hedgehog, and others.
Did I mention that I got a headache after playing the GameCube? I guess it was I wasn't used to the graphics of the GameCube.
So, I guess I will work on High School Murdercal 2, and get annoyed every time I think of the GameCube which I sacrificed so much to obtain.
A very angry and disappointed Lord Hayden

IS THIS HOW MY HARD WORK IS REPAID?!!!

Hey guys,
If you liked the remake of High School Murdercal: All for the Love of Troy, get ready because I'm in the initial stages of making High School Musical 2: The Wrath of Iron Ryan. This one will much more violence, gore and bloodshed than the first, so as you can see it will be a real treat for those of you who loved the first.
Well, at any rate, now is the time to give me tips, tell me how I can improve things on this installment, maybe a few ideas, provide me with a link to a Flash tutorial, free but not illegal music on Newgrounds Audio Portal and elsewhere that I could use, things like that. I can't promise that I'll all the ideas I get, but the ones I like, I'll put in, and I will be sure to give you ample credit.
This installment will take a month or more to complete, but I'll try my best to keep you posted(that is, if you want to know the latest about this project).
L8r,
Lord Hayden.

I briefly mentioned something about this in the comments of the remake of High School Murdercal, but here I shall expand on it.
This is really sad. Disney has just been making a lot of crap recently, making stupid sequels to movies that ought never to have been followed up on, such as Lion King 2, Mulan 2 and such. The only exception to these is Toy Story 2, which is rather good, but the rest all fall behind.
First of all, the animation in the sequel is inferior compared to that of the original, and they usually have the most ridiculous stories.
And if that wasn't bad enough, they went and made sequels to films such as Hunchback of Notre Dame (I'm going to hold a grudge against them for that) and Lady and the Tramp.
And let us not forget those cheesy movies that they show on the Disney Channel, such as Read it and Weep. Movies like these all have the same storyline, average girl with her best friend(s), leads a normal life, likes this cute guy, another guy in the back who has liked her for a long time, she becomes a hotshot one way or another, things get crazy, cute guy at school shows interest in her and turns out to be a complete asshole, she does something and has to become a nobody again, finds love with backburner guy. That's it. Is real life like that? No.
And those movies about airheaded girls who are obsessed with makeup, clothes, shopping and cute guys at school...ugh.
I'm sure that if Walt Disney (Bless his soul) saw what the company he spawned is spewing out, he wouldn't be too happy. I mean, come on, the classic cartoons may have been unrealistic, but they were nowhere near as bad as the stuff they make now.
Come on Roy,(if you're still alive and if, by some rare chance, you stumble upon this) would your uncle be happy with all that(and you can't deny that you could have stopped them)? Huh?
Unlike the above question, the cause for all this is quite clear: THEY ARE FRESH OUT OF IDEAS. Naturally they have to keep making movies or lose money, so they take any little thing they find, even it was on the back of a shampoo bottle or a cigarette pack, and make a movie out of it.
I saw a preview in the Little Mermaid(video, not DVD) about Walt Disney opening its vault to give us some of the classics of the old school. Well, if there's another vault where the current movies are coming out of, it needs to be locked and the door welded shut!
People, we need to speak out on this! We cannot allow this foolishness to continue. I think that High School Musical 3 should be thoroughly boycotted, if the sequel to the original was that bad. No one should buy tickets, and no one should buy copies of High School Musical 2.
Disney has lost its greatness, greatness that it had under the creative geniuses of whoever was behind Lion King, Mulan, Hercules, Pocahontas, and such, and of course, the first great lord of cartoons, Walt Disney.
(You might argue that it was someone else, but I say it was Disney who was the greatest of the early pioneers).
Thank the Lord Walt Disney's dead, otherwise he would be a downcast man today.
Don't bother arguing. You all know that I speak truth.
Thank you for reading, and good night.

You may be wondering where High School Murdercal is. Well, I deleted it.
What's that I hear? "But why, Lord Hayden?" Simple. It's because I have made something better in its place. Still the same story, just added in a few things, took out others, redid the artwork of some, made it look better.
However, if you want me to, I can bring it back, but I don't think you will, after you've seen the improved one.
Well, what are you waiting for? Go and watch it!

I hate my ineptitude in Flash.
I have improved since my making of Futurist Zelda Part 1, but the reviews of people who say that the animation still needs work frustrates me. I know I can't draw so well yet, and the fact that I don't have a graphics tablet doesn't help it either.
Though it is certainly true that a tablet is not required in order to draw well in Flash, indeed one of the best cartoons on NG , The Final Task, was made with just a mouse (how he ended up with such a work of art amazes me) it doesn't help if you're relatively new to drawing like me.
One of the NG guys said that I should look at the tutorials. Well, I'm going to do just that.

Looks like Flash has some ground to gain, especially overseas.
Recently, a pair of Norwegian girls who were friends of my uncle's wife, came over, and Mom asked me to show them some of my stuff. When I showed them Futurist Zelda, they thought it was a video game.
Talk about stupidity.
Mind you, I'm not dissing the Norwegians. I'm only annoyed that those two girls didn't know what a Flash cartoon was.

Well, here I am, working on Futurist Zelda Part III, and trying to make the front page. Everytime I post something, people tell me that the quality is bad. I'll admit that with High School Murdercal, I should have fine-tuned it before I put it online, so I'm going to rework it as soon as I'm done with FLOZ part III.
